Lighting Direct Design
Lighting Direct is New Zealands largest lighting retail chain store and has been servicing the New Zealand market for almost 30 years. With 22 stores throughout the country Lighting Directs buying power has enabled the company to negotitate the best prices by buying direct from overseas manufacturers. This includes sourcing products from the design capitals such as Beligum, Czech Republic, France and Italy. Their exclusive agencies are from Europes leading fashion houses which include Massive of Belgium and Eglo of Austria.
 The Lighting Direct web site filters and displays relevant information from within their intranet. The project features in-detailed use of the Encountra product catalogue including allowing the visitor to save a list of favourite products. Several Flash movies are included, and magazine articles are included in the content. A javascript applet was developed to provide a scrolling montage for Trends articles. The home page features a large banner advertisement for showcasing current promotions. A direct interface to their ERP system is incorporated to return pricing and availability for products in the catalogue. |
